1. Who we are

ScalpView (the "Service") is operated by Seafra Capital ("we," "us," or "our"), founded by Seamus Synnott. Contact: [email protected].

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use scalp-view.com (the "Site") and the ScalpView platform.

2. What we collect

You give us:

• Account info: name, email address, phone number (optional)
• Trading context (optional): experience level, account size, referral source
• Promo / payment data: any promo code redeemed (e.g. "LAUNCH"); for paid subscriptions, payment is processed by Fanbasis — we never see or store your card details
• User content: any trades, rules, or notes you enter into the Service (stored locally in your browser or, for premium features, on our servers)

We collect automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, broad geographic region
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, referring URL
• Cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in; we do not use third-party tracking cookies or ad-tech

3. How we use your data

• Provide and maintain access to ScalpView features
• Process subscriptions and trials via Fanbasis
• Send important service notifications (e.g. trial expiry, billing receipts)
• Personalize the dashboard (e.g. your watchlist, journal entries)
• Generate AI-assisted analysis when you use Mega Mind or the Trade Narrator (your message + market context is sent to OpenAI or Anthropic to produce a response — see Section 5)
• Detect abuse, fraud, or technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal basis for processing your data is:

• Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest: to keep the Service secure and improve it
• Consent: where you've opted in to marketing communications
• Legal obligation: where we must retain records (e.g. tax records for payments)

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with:

• Fanbasis — for payment processing (your email is passed at checkout)
• OpenAI / Anthropic — when you use AI features (Mega Mind, Trade Narrator), the message you send + relevant market context is forwarded to their APIs to generate a response. These providers process the data under their respective privacy policies and do not retain it for model training
• Twelve Data — for market data; no personal data is shared, only symbols you view
• Railway — our hosting provider; standard server infrastructure access only
• Law enforcement — only where legally compelled

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g. tax records, fraud prevention).

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format
• Object to certain processing (e.g. marketing)
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our legal basis

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, hash session tokens, isolate payment processing to Fanbasis, and store data on encrypted infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please email us immediately.

9. International transfers

Our servers and third-party processors may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Children

ScalpView is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

11. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
